The Restricted Licence (A2) is designed for individuals aged between 17 and 20 years old, who wish to obtain a full motorcycle licence.

You will take your test on a 125cc machine (capable of at least 62.5 mph) then when you pass; you will be restricted to a motorcycle capable of no more than 33bhp for two years, at which point your licence will be automatically upgraded to a full category A licence.

To successfully complete a Restricted (A2) training course you will be required to complete and pass a written theory test. Please click here to read more information on the Motorcycle Theory Test.

The Driving Standards Agency states that a rider who is going to take their Restricted Licence training must have a valid CBT and have passed the Motorcycle Written Theory test prior to starting their A2 training.

We are more than happy to guide you through these steps, to ensure that you get your licence as efficently and promptly as possible, while ensuring that you take in all of the skills at the same time!
